Boeing Space will launch its CST-100 Starliner spacecraft Friday night with friends Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore aboard; they’ll fly to a rendezvous with the International Space Station and stay there about 8 days before returning to a cushioned touchdown in the southwest US. I spoke about the mission and its importance here, on WMAL radio, Washington, DC. Thanks to hosts Julie Gunlock, Larry O’Connor, and stellar producer Heather Hunter.
Here’s a shot of the Starliner on its unpiloted, second shakedown test flight in 2022:

Godspeed, Butch and Suni!
Update: Launch has now been postponed to May 21 as the launch teams do additional troubleshooting and testing on Atlas V and Starliner.
